HEREDITAS: Borondo's new project
Borondo returns to Segovia to realise an immersive work between the past and the future
HEREDITAS is the latest project by artist Gonzalo Borondo, in collaboration with Insight Spain, Escombrarte and Cristaleria MAVI, on show at the Esteban Vicente Museum of Contemporary Art in Segovia from April 9th to September 26th.
The work focuses on the concept of inheritance and is defined as a site-specific project, exploiting the museum's context as it is responsible for preserving the past.
Borondo offers the viewer an interactive and sensory experience, through installations, paintings, projections and optical illusions.
The exhibition is articulated in four parts:Herba, a section dedicated to natural heritage, Petra and Carnis, referring to the minar and the animal worlds, and Etere to highlight the importance of intangible heritage.
HEREDITAS is therefore able to place the observer in comparison with his own past, which is reinterpreted from a contemporary viewpoint, in order to offer a future-oriented projection.
