L’Atlas: Dichotomy

MAGMA Gallery announces the collaboration with the French artist Jules Dedet, aka L’Atlas, at the Bologna gallery from September 28th to November 9th. Fascinated by calligraphy, he studied the history of handwriting in various countries and then perfected and designed his own original typography. He was particularly interested in the idea of ​​creating a unique pictorial language, a balance between form and letter, between act and intent with infinite variations, which approaches and departs from the optical art and abstract and geometric artistic movements that lead his work towards abstraction and minimalism. He works in public spaces in various cities, exhibiting his works in renowned institutions such as: Musèe de Poste, Palais de Tokyo and Center George Pompidou. He has also participated in biennials, festivals and artistic projects.
